We’re gathering together leaders who serve in their local church music ministry who are looking to grow in their leadership and understanding of worship in church, both spiritually as worshipers and practically as musicians.
Our hope is that through our conversations together, we will leave encouraged and equipped for ministry, and maybe develop some key relationships on the way.
What a blessing it was to spend an evening with those who joined us for the first ever worship workshop. We talked a bit about our own community contexts, our worship team and culture and the tension between heart and skill. We also touched on the mentoring and training of younger musicians, using the buddy system!
If you missed it, we have three more workshops happening in September, November and December. Check out the details below. We would love for you to join us!
Wednesday 30 September
Meeting ID: 881 0704 1469
We’ll have an interactive conversation
about song choices and setlists.
We’ll ask, and hopefully answer some questions...
- What’s the balance between playing hymns as well as contemporary songs?
- How do we develop a songlist for the church to sing, and for worship leaders to choose from?
- How important is theology in worship?
- What does it look like to have a culture of biculturalism in worship by singing in Te Reo Māori?
- What about original songs?
LET US KNOW YOU'RE COMING
Wednesday 4 November
Wednesday 2 December
