Two weeks ago LifeChurch Blockhouse Bay celebrated one year since being planted, they share with us:
"We are grateful for God’s faithfulness through every season. Like many pioneer church plants, the journey has been both rewarding and stretching, requiring deep trust in God.
"Through it all, the prayers, encouragement, and loving support of elder Hans Stutz (along with wife Mandy) from the Terry Street fellowship have been a tremendous blessing. Their love for the Lord, welcoming hearts, and commitment to unity and fellowship have helped strengthen and sustain our church family throughout this first year.
"Today, our growing church family of around 30 people represents 8 different nationalities, reflecting the diversity of the Blockhouse Bay community. We have seen people deepen in faith, reconnect with church, and find belonging and purpose.
"Blockhouse Bay is a vibrant multicultural community, especially with many migrant families. While there are challenges such as isolation, financial pressures, and busy lifestyles, we also see a real hunger for hope, connection, and authentic community.
"We believe this diversity creates a beautiful opportunity for the Gospel — building bridges across cultures and demonstrating the love of Jesus in practical ways. We are thankful for all God has done and excited for what lies ahead."
"At our anniversary celebration, we were encouraged by a powerful message from guest speaker Dr Richard Fountain who is CCCNZ Auckland Enabler.
"We also opened our carpark to the community for an outdoor lunch, where neighbours gathered together and children from nearby homes enjoyed the jumping castle. We praise God for the beautiful weather and the opportunity to connect with our local community in such a joyful way."
