Leaders from CCCNZ churches across Canterbury gathered together on Saturday 27 June at Rutland Street Church in Christchurch for the last of three seminars run by Dr Darrell Bock.
Darrell Bock is one of the world’s most preeminent New Testament scholars, an author of over 40 books and podcast host of The Table: exploring the intersection of theology, culture and everyday life.
During the month of June CCCNZ hosted a number of seminars for leaders across the country, ‘12 things to consider to get out of the polarisation cul de sac’
Liz Hodge from Halswell Community Church said she really appreciated the seminar:
“Darrell gave the example of four big speeches in the New Testament where the person gets interrupted before the end and doesn't get to the ‘altar call’ but just leaves the hearers with the thought that maybe there is another way. It was so refreshing and hopeful to be reminded that God is in charge of the world, and he loves us.”
