Tōtara North Bible Chapel knows how to run a Bible conference!
For decades the Northland church has been hosting mid-winter conferences and inviting other locals to join them. Lynley Fleming says her mother has memories of attending their mid-winter conferences back in the 1930s!
Highlights from this year's conference were the excellent Bible teaching, and the sense of shared community.

Speakers David Frost and Matt Shepherd opened God's Word, and a range of Northland churches came together for the event, including Kaitaia Bible Chapel, Mangonui Bible Chapel, and others from as far away as Dargaville and Whangārei.
Wayne Fleming (Tōtara North Bible Chapel) chaired the meetings, which including singing and prayer, alongside Bible talks.
David Frost from Franklin Bible Church in Pukekohe taught from Habakkuk, and encouraged attendees to remember that God’s revelation in the past prompts trust in what he will do in the future. David and his wife Gill have been at Easter camps at Cooper's Beach Christian Youth Camp for years now.
Matt and Lilly Shepherd from Wellspring Community Church came to the event from Wellsford. Matt spoke on how God revealed himself in the Old Testament so that common people could easily understand him relationally: “The Lord is my shepherd he makes me lie down in green pastures” (Psalm 23) was one example he shared.

Ted and Noy Pryce from Clark Road Chapel in Whangārei drove up to attend the conference, with Noy remarking that she, "felt included and free to talk to everybody because they made me feel so welcome--I love God's people!"
