A retreat for all full and part-time paid pastoral staff and their spouses from CCCNZ/Open Brethren heritage churches.

PastorLink Retreat is a chance for pastors and their spouses to relax, unwind and be fed from God's Word together. The retreat is open to all paid pastoral staff and their spouses who are currently serving in a CCCNZ / Open Brethren Heritage church.

If that’s you, then we would so love you to join us for a time of rest and refreshment and to be spiritually encouraged.

Meet our 2026 speaker,
Jared C. Wilson

We welcome Jared and Becky Wilson to PastorLink 2026.

Jared works for a Bible college and a local church in Kansas City USA, is the author of several books, and hosts two podcasts ('For the Church', and, with Ronnie Martin, 'The Heart of Pastoring'). You can find out more about him on his website www.jaredcwilson.com where it says:

"Jared is not catalytic 'agent of change' or a visionary anything. He is a failed church planter and once made a mess of his marriage. He likes food too much and worries way too much about what people think, and he's definitely not all that he's cracked up to be. After nearly 30 years of ministry, he's mainly learned that he's kind of a nincompoop. But he knows Jesus loves him."

In other words, Jared lives out grace!

His sessions with us will be 'The gospel for pastors', so if you're a pastor, come and be refreshed at PastorLink, with fellow pastors in this movement of independent churches.

It'll be a time for good company, good food, good refreshment in the good-but-relentless nature of pastoring, and good rejoicing in grace, celebrating together that Jesus loves us.

Travel / Finances

It’s a national retreat, but we’re aware that cost can be a barrier for those travelling from the South Island – the good news is that we have subsidies available to help remove those barriers, so please contact Grant Birks to find out how we can help with that through the Pastoral Support Fund.

If you’re bringing a group of pastors, we recommend registering all at once so that your church receives one invoice.

Accommodation: Couples and families will be allocated a room together. Where possible, singles will be given their own room. Linen and towels are provided. If we max out the rooms available at MiCamp, you’ll need to book off-site accommodation, and we'll only charge you for food.

Children: Children under 5 years old are welcome at the retreat (children 2 and under can attend free of charge, while a 50% fee applies for children aged 3 to 5). There’s no specific kids programme, but they’re welcome to be part of all we’re doing 😊
