Our mission is to invite local churches to work together regionally to disciple and grow leaders who serve, replenish and plant churches. One of the ways we do that is through Summits.
For that reason, I really enjoyed being with 100+ ministry leaders and volunteers from CCCNZ/OBH churches over the weekend at the Lower North Island Summit.
Thank you to Andrew Sinclair from Kingston Community Church for opening God's Word for us, and to the team from Feilding Bible Chapel for leading us in praising our God together in song.
We're so grateful to the El Rancho team for hosting us so well!
A big thank you to all those who led workshops and forums, we're especially grateful for the mahi and contribution of Bruce Middleton and Chris Dale from The Coast Community Church, Mark Broadbent from Porirua Gospel Chapel and Marius Dryfhout from Feilding Bible Chapel, Wendy and John Buchanan (GC3), Richard Goodwin (Pathways Bible College), Tony Foster (NZ Rally), and Michael Hanson (GC3).
I loved hearing stories of God at work in people, ministries and churches, special thanks to Paula Almada (Crossroads Church), Mikaela Hosking (Feilding Bible Chapel), Pete Rhodes-Robinson (Onslow Community Church), and Pati Junior Leiataua (Church on Ingestre).
A couple of things stood out to me.
Firstly, the number of younger leaders churches had nurtured, supported and sent to Summit this year was super encouraging. Secondly, the wide range of different communities churches across the lower north are part of. It was a real privilege for the team to serve amongst you over the day.
