In February, we wrapped up a rewarding four-week preaching development training session.
Beginning late last year, over 20 participants from seven churches across the Waikato gathered to improve their preaching abilities. (You can read more here.)
Under the guidance of Justin Thompson from Manawarū Bible Chapel and Nick Goodwin from Raleigh Street Christian Centre, they explored key elements of sermon development, preparation, and delivery.
The diverse group ranged from seasoned preachers to those preparing their very first sermons, with an encouraging turnout of young individuals embarking on their preaching journeys.
Feedback has been positive, with many expressing how the course has boosted their confidence, equipped them with new skills, and deepened their love for God’s word.
It's inspiring to see how these teachings have empowered people to share the message of God effectively.
Notably, the skills learned extend beyond preaching; they are also valuable for leading Bible studies and home groups.
