“It’s always good to be in the south, with frosty temps and warm smiles.” That’s how Sarah Chalmers (NZ Rally Communications) described the Strengthen regional training day, held last Saturday at Rosedale Bible Chapel.
The gathering brought together Boys and Girls Rally leaders from Rosedale and Edendale Christian Fellowship. A standout feature of the day was the collaborative spirit; leaders engaged in a ‘speed sharing’ session, exchanging ideas, activities, and encouragement from their respective Rally programmes.
Valerie Black, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist from Rutland Street Church, once again facilitated practical and thoughtful workshops focused on engaging children on the neurodiverse spectrum, especially those with ADHD and ASD.
Ben Winder and Ezra McNaughton, who attended Rally Cadet Camp earlier this year, demonstrated a game for the group (pictured above, left photo), reflecting their growing leadership at Rosedale Boys Rally.
Also noted was the presence of Courtney McEwan (pictured above, right photo), who recently moved from Whitiora Bible Church in Hamilton and is now serving with Edendale. Sarah says, “It was great to see her heart for creating community”.
The next Strengthen day will be held in the Waikato region, a great opportunity for NZ Rally leaders to be equipped, encouraged, and supported in their ministry to children and families. For more information, please contact NZ Rally CEO Tony Foster.
