It was so good being at the Auckland Summit on Saturday. Encouraged by 180 ministry leaders from over 20 Auckland churches coming together.
Thank you to Thomas Scrimgeour from Lincoln Road Bible Chapel for opening God's Word for us, and to the team from Auckland Bible Church for leading us in praising our God together in song.
We're so grateful to the Willow Park team for hosting us so well! The hospitality and care shown to the churches were a blessing.
A big thank you to all those who led workshops and forums, we're especially grateful for the mahi and contribution of Robyn Drake from Auckland Bible Church and TSCF, Wendy and John Buchanan (GC3), Richard Goodwin (Pathways Bible College), Tony Foster (NZ Rally), Marina Shannon (Orewa Community Church), and Alex Pope (Birkenhead Community Church).
We loved hearing stories of God at work in people, ministries and churches, special thanks to Brigitte Crowe (Howick Community Church), Ken Hutchinson (Pakuranga Christian Fellowship), Gordon Venter (Northcross Church).
Seeing the depth of conversation between leaders at the Youth and Young Adult forum was special. Another thing that stood out to me was the great range of ages and cultures present.
CCCNZ Auckland Enabler Richard Fountain writes:
"Auckland Summit was a special time where we came together to hear God‘s word, enjoy connecting with one another, and be spurred on in ministry, all centred around the powerful message of the cross.
"Following the main session and workshops, it was great to see people in conversation, praying together, and asking ‘what’s next?’. The sense of community, belonging and shared purpose is special.
"I pray that Summit has been an insightful, encouraging and informative event for our Auckland churches."
I am looking forward to seeing how churches will work together to point more people to Jesus through the gospel from the Bible as a result.
