This week, Scholarships Enabler Liz Hodge was grateful to meet with a group of servant-hearted local leaders from across the Manawatū-Whanganui region (and beyond).
She especially enjoyed sitting in as Doug Benn from Church on Ingestre and Josh Campbell, intern from Crossroads Church, met for the first time and shared stories about their studies and service within their churches.
Liz says:
“Josh was so enthusiastic about all his experiences and learnings as an intern with Crossroads, that I was pleased I’d planned to meet with his elders and pastors two days later to be able to thank them in person for all their care in discipling Josh.”
On Sunday afternoon, there were also great conversations between previous and current scholarship recipients from Kingston Community Church, Church on Ingestre, Crossroads Church, and Feilding Bible Chapel.
These gatherings were a wonderful reminder of how God is using scholarships to grow, connect, and encourage leaders across the region.
