It was encouraging to meet some of the team serving as part of Au uso Kerisiano, Henderson. They shared that they hope to glorify God and rebuild the church though ministries, like their growing Youth and Young Adults groups which meet fortnightly.
They shared their love for opening the Bible with the Young Adults, and how they have been encouraged to see God at work through his Word.
Ernest says the Youth Group helps set a “platform for the Young Adults.” For their youth leader Sione, it has been about “getting a foundation” for growth: “We’ve had to take it back to the basics—how to read the Bible and how to pray.” He believes the church is “going through a resurgence” and as a result “some of the men are getting confident to preach on Sunday, which is cool.”
They were keen to hear about CCCNZ and what God has been doing among similar churches around the region.
