There’s something special about seeing a ministry come back to life. At Rowley Bible Church in Christchurch, Rally has officially relaunched.
Rowley Ave is in a more socially deprived part of the city and the church has a heart to reach out to their community with the good news about Jesus.
Rowley Bible Church Elder Lieuwe Doubleday, who’s leading the programme, shared a few highlights:
“We had 12 kids—13 are enrolled—with one still away at school camp in Hanmer. We had a great night! We ended up with a 1:1 ratio of kids to helpers, a couple of parents stayed, and the feedback and rapport were really encouraging. The programme went well—the ropes were fun, and Rex’s talk was great. All in all, a very good night. God is good!”
Rally has run at Rowley in the past, but it has been some years since it last met. So seeing leaders, parents, and kids jump in with such enthusiasm is a real encouragement.
Here’s to many more Thursday nights full of fun, friendship, and faith-building conversations. Rowley Rally meets fortnightly—join us in praying for the leaders and the young people as this grows.
