Isabella Winder, Hayley Spencer, Sarah Jensen and Lizzie Nepia.
On Saturday 8 November, Headspace celebrated the graduation of Hayley Spencer (Bryndwr Chapel and Waikari Gospel Hall ), Isabella Winder (Rosedale Bible Chapel), Lizzie Nepia (Crossroads Church), and Sarah Jensen (Crossroads Church)—who completed a transformative year of growth and mission.
The Headspace programme is run by GC3, and is designed to prepare young adults for a life of mission through learning experiences, spiritual formation, and cross-cultural engagement.
Over the past year, these graduates have journeyed through a deeply challenging and rewarding season. Headspace is a life-shaping experience that invites participants to explore their identity in God through study, take ownership of spiritual practices, and cultivate a broader understanding of mission as service to life. A highlight of the year was an eight-week overseas mission trip to Cambodia, where the students encountered new cultures and served communities with humility and love.
One graduate reflected on the year: “This year has been hard, exhausting, terrifying, and mentally challenging… but also the most growthful, encouraging, life-changing, and God-relying year I’ve had.”
Graduation is more than just a celebration of the completion of their studies, but a recognition of how they have grown in courage, resilience, and faith.
As they step into the next chapter, we are praying that the legacy of their Headspace journey will continue to shape them. Their stories are a testament a God who transforms.
Congratulations, Hayley, Isabella, Lizzie, and Sarah!
