SENIOR EXECUTIVE OFFICER - STEWARDS TRUST

Stewards’ Trust is an incorporated society that has, for more than 100 years, held title to church, camp, and other properties throughout New Zealand on behalf of the Open Christian Brethren movement. The fundamental purposes of Stewards’ are: the furtherance of the Gospel of God, Scriptural education, and the relief of poverty.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, Christ-centred leader and administrator with an understanding of and alignment with our movement, to lead engagement with our stakeholders and undertake the important administrative and General Management responsibilities of the organisation.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership to our organisation under the direction of the executive committee, build partnerships with our network of churches and related organisations, and see the effectiveness and impact of the organisation grow. This is a newly-created role, and the initial responsibilities will include setting up a professional administration and stakeholder engagement function for the organisation.

You will have experience in building strong, positive relationships with stakeholders, and effectively managing the operations of a small organisation. You are an effective communicator with a Christ-centred, evangelistic heart, and a desire to see the Good News of Jesus Christ shared to the least-reached of the world. An understanding of legal and property management responsibilities, especially in the not-for-profit/charity sector, is an advantage.

WORD OF LIFE - ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR (PART TIME)

Word of Life is looking for a part time (24 hours per week) accounts administrator. 

Word of Life have a bold vision of seeing ‘every young person in our nation impacted by the Gospel through a friend’, the way we work towards seeing this achieved, is by continual partnering with youth ministries to: Serve Support & Strengthen as they engage in Gospel Advancement and Discipleship.

What the role will entail:
Your role will be to work alongside our team by reviewing and reconciling accounts, providing monthly reports for staff members and departments, processing payments to external partners and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts.

To be successful in this role, you should have a Finance or Accounting background and be familiar with bookkeeping. 

Ultimately, you will ensure we process all financial transactions accurately and on time, and ensure that all financial partners are informed and appreciated promptly.
