LEAD PASTOR - SUMMIT CHURCH

Summit Church is looking for a dynamic & experienced person to lead us in our mission to Passionately love God and to Purposefully love others, as our new Lead Pastor.

We are excited about the right person joining the team, to provide overall leadership to our pastoral staff team, as well as communicating a clear vision and direction to the wider church whanau. They will have a passion for God, a deep love for His people, and display strong Christian character. The right candidate will have experience in preaching regularly, leading & developing ministry teams, and strategic planning. 

Great communication skills, high relational intelligence & a willingness to take necessary risks are all essential. A formal qualification in theology / church leadership is desirable, but not essential.

YOUTH PASTOR - ONSLOW COMMUNITY CHURCH

Details

Part time, paid role – 16 hours per week/0.4FTE (Distributed over the week as it suits).
12-month contract while current Youth Pastor is on maternity leave.

You’ll be well supported and work alongside other staff at church.

       

Current Youth Activities
OCC YOUTH – College age youth group (Y9-13)

Weekly meetings on Thursday night and monthly socials on a Saturday
(With volunteer leaders and parent helpers

POWER UP – Intermediate age youth group (Y6-8)
Fortnightly events on a Friday night

(Note: This is organised and run by another staff member)

IMPACT – Sunday morning group (Y6-9)
(Organised and led by others. Helping out as a leader only)


Responsibilities

Plan and lead OCC YOUTH Thursday nights
(Small amount of teaching plus small group questions)

Pastoral care of college age youth incl. meeting-up with youth of same sex (Y10+)

Plan and run monthly OCC YOUTH Saturday socials
(incl. RAM sheets for activities - Many of these are done already)

Easter Camp (Y9-13) - March/April
(With support/help from other staff and other parents)

Assist with IMPACT Sunday morning sessions.
(Generally 4 weeks on 4 weeks off. Led by others)
General communication with volunteer leaders, families, youth, and elders

Attend LEAD mtgs once a term (Sunday after church)

DISCIPLESHIP PASTOR - LIFEZONE

Lifezone exists to help people live for Jesus and share His love. We do this by creating communities where people can come as they are, grow deep, and live large.

We have a vacancy for a discipleship pastor who will proactively lead in the following areas of our church based in Tauranga New Zealand:

  • Lead the leaders in the various areas of discipleship
  • Help Lead and manage the discipleship program adopted by the church
  • Continue and enhance the leadership training streams within the church
  • Take a proactive role in communication to individuals and groups associated with our community
  • Be actively involved in the planning and organisation of our Sunday services which aim to be excellent, memorable and irresistible

Ideal candidates will:

  • Maintain a humble spirit and commitment to teamwork with other pastors, staff, and church members.
  • Be intentionally responsible for the church wide discipleship initiative
  • Evidentially demonstrate a personal care and intimacy with God.
  • Be an activator
  • Have a calling on their life which sometime in the future will lead to a Senior Pastor role
  • Have exceptional communication skills
  • Have a demonstrative leadership ability
  • Formal theological training will be an advantage
  • Be able to encourage members to undertake greater roles with more responsibility and provide development when required

YOUTH PASTOR - TITAHI BAY


Based in a beachside suburb of Porirua, Titahi Bay Community Church is a family based local church. We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Pastor to join us on a part-time basis.

We are looking for someone who has a desire to see young people grow spiritually and feel connected to each other and the church community. We would hope that you could liaise with other local churches and schools as part of your time. Our Community Pastor and the leadership team would provide support and oversight.

As the Youth Pastor, you will be developing an effective team of young leaders, whom you will mentor and lead intentionally. You will enjoy teaching and training – and having fun!

Some form of relevant training or experience will be important along with the ability to engage meaningfully with people from all walks of life.

This is a permanent part time role working 8-16 hours per week (or as negotiated with the successful candidate), which will involve working flexible hours (often outside of usual business hours) to suit the needs of the youth ministry. The hourly rate for this position will be discussed with the successful candidate in accordance with skills and experience.
