The purpose of this role is to support youth into a growing relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. This includes pastoral care, creating safe and welcoming environments for youth to explore faith and supporting the volunteer leadership team. This will be achieved through working with the pastor, eldership, parents of youth and volunteer youth group leaders, as well as the youth themselves.

PASTOR - THE LIGHTHOUSE CHURCH
Our church family is looking for a new shepherd, one with a deep love for God and his people, who is called to lead a small faith community. We respond to bible based Jesus centred preaching, we pray and care for each other and we look to spread God’s love into the wider community through His word and our works.
We would expect that you are qualified to preach and teach, that you have an ability to lead but you can also work collegially with the eldership and ministry leaders. You will be sensitive to the needs of our church congregation and show Christ’s love to those within and outside the church.
The Lighthouse Church is located in Masterton, a large town in the beautiful Wairarapa. It started in 1997 as an off-shoot of the local Open Brethren church to reach out to unchurched people with the lifesaving message of Jesus Christ through a contemporary church model. We continue with the vision of seeking to fulfil the great commission by sharing the Gospel and the love of Jesus both locally and through our missionary partners.
