Hillcrest Chapel is an evangelical church congregation affiliated with Christian Community Churches of New Zealand (CCCNZ). Built on our Open Brethren heritage we value devotion to God, His word, and the tenets of the Christian faith as described by the Nicene Creed.

YOUTH PASTOR & YOUTH MENTOR (FULL TIME) - TĀMAKI COMMUNITY CHURCH

There is a an opportunity to MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE within the Tāmaki communities, comprising Panmure, Glen Innes and Point England in Auckland!

This full time position is the exciting combination of two complementary roles : Youth Pastor and Mentor

We are seeking someone with a strong Christian faith. Someone who is an authentic and practical team builder, and can provide vision, organisation and leadership in a very inclusive way.

This person needs to be committed to building capacity into our vibrant young people - whether mentoring younger children or co-ordinating  and growing our dynamic youth.
We are looking for a leader who will help raise up other young leaders, especially within our Māori and Pasifika context.

Our multi-cultural church and trust are forward looking, innovative and focused on actively reaching our community. We are committed to offer excellent opportunities for professional growth and development for the successful applicant.

The successful appointee will ideally live in or near the Tāmaki area, and will be expected to attend our Sunday church services, each week.

ADMIN & ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - PART TIME (24 HOURS) - THE ORCHARD

The Orchard is an evangelical Christian Church in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty. Our heart’s desire is to glorify God by making healthy disciples of Jesus Christ. We put a high priority on teaching the Bible and sharing the good news that God loves the world. We have a small staff and an average attendance of around 200 people a week.  Our facility is the largest and most versatile in the area and is available for hire when not being used for Church ministries.

As Admin & Accounts Assistant you will provide admin support to all staff, do the daily bookkeeping, and seek to create a warm, friendly and welcoming reception for clients, members and visitors to The Orchard Church.

We are looking for someone with a warm and friendly nature, positive mind set and who can keep calm and carry on if it all gets a bit stressful. You're able to prioritise and juggle different tasks. You care about getting the details right, create efficient processes and are resourceful. You enjoy being part of a team and supporting others to do their jobs well.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS & FACILITIES (32 HOURS PER WEEK) - THE ORCHARD

As Executive Director of Operations & Facilities your will oversee the running of the facility, take and manage bookings, provide house management during events as well as oversee all areas of operations and administration at The Orchard Church.

The role is 32 hours a week. Hours are somewhat flexible; they can be spread throughout the week. Start date is open to negotiation for the right person.

There may be scope to grow this role to full time, especially if you have experience in accounting, IT, website development and social media management, grant applications or AV tech/media production skills.

YOUTH PASTOR (PART TIME) - CITY BIBLE CHURCH

Based in the heart of Frankton, Kirikiriroa (Hamilton), City Bible Church is an intergenerational, multicultural church. We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Pastor to join us on a part-time basis.

First and foremost, we are looking for someone who has a desire to see Youth grow spiritually. You’ll be a key member of our experienced leadership team, joining us as we work within our local community.

As Pastor of Youth, you will be developing an effective team of young leaders, whom you will mentor and lead intentionally. You’ll be an enthusiastic and inspirational leader, who enjoys teaching/training, having fun, and leading others. 

In addition to this, you’ll have completed relevant theological training, have pastoral experience, and be growing in your teaching and communication skills. You’ll be a natural and inspiring leader, have the ability to navigate a wide range of diverse environments, and be able to engage meaningfully with people from all walks of life.

This is a permanent part time role working 10 hours per week, which will involve working flexible hours (outside of usual business hours) to suit the needs of the youth ministry. The hourly rate for this position will be discussed with the successful candidate in accordance with skills and experience.

To help us continue to live out this core value, we are looking to add to our staff team by appointing a part time dynamic & creative Children’s Pastor who will be responsible for providing leadership to the Summit Kids ministry, and its large team of committed volunteers.
We are excited about the right person becoming a valued member of our pastoral staff, as well as bringing energy and leadership to our kids’ programs. They will have a passion for God, a deep love for children, and strong Christian character. They will have experience working with children in either a volunteer or paid capacity, have clear leadership abilities, and will be confident in an up front role.
