YOUTH PASTOR - CROSSROADS CHURCH

Crossroads Church (Palmerston North) is looking for a Youth Pastor.

Youth ministry is an incredibly important part of the life of Crossroads Church. It is often within high school years that people make a commitment to follow Jesus. It is also the place where students can be equipped with the tools & understanding needed to continue their pursuit of Jesus when school is over.

As Youth Pastor, you would play the vital role of helping provide these skills and tools through the oversight of our Friday night youth group – CY (Crossroads Youth), equipping & leading our fantastic team of youth leaders, planning & overseeing each term & various events, building relationships with parents, as well as providing pastoral care for our students as they continue their journey of getting to know Jesus. You would also be co-leading our fortnightly intermediates program.

LEAD PASTOR - AGORA CHURCH

We are seeking a Lead Pastor whose heart is for the health of the church and our core ministries, providing spiritual leadership to grow our congregation. The role requires someone who can mentor, create community, and engage in ways that enable us to reach out evangelistically.

FULL TIME ASSISTANT PASTOR - NORTHGATE COMMUNITY CHURCH

Northgate Community Church is a relatively young church with an Open Brethren Heritage based in North Hamilton. Our assistant pastor role has recently become vacant, and we are currently looking for a new pastor to fill the position.

The Assistant Pastor’s primary focus would be on ministering to youth and young adults while providing significant support to the Lead Pastor in pastoral care, teaching, community outreach, and discipleship.

We are looking for someone who is not only a committed Christian but also possesses a genuine passion for guiding and nurturing young individuals to become fully committed disciples of Jesus Christ.

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR, OREWA COMMUNITY CHURCH - 12 HOURS PER WEEK

Orewa Community Church is looking to employ a new Office Administrator.

Key Roles include:

  • Receive all forms of correspondence on behalf of OCC, and respond accordingly

  • Welcome members and visitors in a friendly and helpful way

  • Support OCC staff by carrying out administrative tasks

  • Supporting OCC Ministry Leaders and volunteers

  • Support Sunday Services by creating relevant PowerPoints and displays

  • Create the Sunday Service rosters and the duties rosters

  • Maintain the website and update its calendar

  • Write and send the monthly E-newsletter

  • Social Media - maintain the OCC Facebook Group and Page, the Instagram page, etc.

  • Maintain the church directory and databases

  • Attend relevant staff meetings

CHILDREN'S WORKER - RALEIGH ST CHRISTIAN CENTRE

HND COMMUNITY WORKER: 20-30 HOURS PER WEEK

We are a community hub in the centre of Roslyn, one of the lowest socioeconomic suburbs in Palmerston North.

We are the main local outreach arm of Church on Vogel, Palmerston North. The House Next Door promotes Christian values and a holistic approach to community health, recognising that mental, spiritual, physical, and relational well-being are inseparable. We connect with this community through caring relationships, diverse programmes, and targeted education. We currently employ 7 part-time staff and rely on many volunteers from the Church.

We are looking to employ a community worker for a Christian organisation for 20 to 30 hours per week, reporting to the Trust Manager.

The role is varied and involves a mix of interpersonal, administrative and advocacy work including mentoring young girls, assisting with HND programmes and community events. A large part of the role can be created around your passions, giftings and skillsets.

Programmes include: After School and School Holiday Programme, Youth Group, Exercise Classes, Educational Support, Mentoring, Drop-In Centre and Support Services.
