Full-Time Position Grounds/Maintenance & Instructor

MiCamp Trust is a group of 3 spectacular Christian Camps in the central North Island. The camps are in separate locations - Kakahi, Whakamaru and Waitetoko.

This position would be based at MiCamp Whakamaru working with the site managers and occasionally with the other dedicated staff team across the 3 MiCamp sites. MiCamp Whakamaru is on an island located on Lake Whakamaru. It has 85 bed capacity with a range of facilities, activities. Started in the early 1960s the Camp holds a special place in the heart of many people and has an amazing history. We hope the next person to join MiCamp Whakamaru would be excited about contributing to a part of this history and reaching people for God’s Kingdom through this awesome Christian Camping ministry.

We are looking for a vision focused person who has a strong sense of calling to what God is doing in their life to join the staff team at MiCamp. They need to understand that working at camp is a lifestyle and not just a job. The applicant will be a team player, honest, supportive, enthusiastic about the camping ministry and able to work independently. A successful applicant will have experience with grounds, maintenance and interests and/or experience in outdoor instructing. Being a small campsite a willingness to serve not only in your area of work but in all aspects of camp would be really important to us.

This job would be full of variety and no two days would be exactly the same. They must have a current, clean, full, NZ, drivers licence and be in good health. MINISTRY COORDINATOR

Christian Youth Camps Waihola (or CYC Waihola as we are also known) is a Christian camp located at Lake Waihola in South Otago that is passionate about sharing who Jesus is with young people and advancing the Kingdom of God though camping. People who love God and want to share their faith are the key to this mission.

As you may or may not know CYC Waihola is currently advertising for a second full-time employee as our new Ministry Coordinator whose primary role will be to head up the ministry side of the CYC Waihola organisation and to support the current Operations Manager in the day to day running of the camp-site.
